Physicians Call Center (PCC) was established  in October 1976 by Joan M. Shaw to fulfill a 24 Hour Telephone Answering Service need to businesses and professionals located in Melrose, MA.

PCC began operations on January 28, 1977 as Melrose Answering Service at 134 West Emerson Street, Melrose with a single 557B PBX Telephone Switchboard, servicing six (6) clients.

PCC has relocated twice in its 30 year history. We moved to 414 Main Street, Melrose on January 28, 1982 and on August 11, 1999,  relocated to our current facility located at 100 Cummings Center Suite 344C, Beverly, MA.  

We now operate a 26-position state of the art call center, serving over 700 subscribers located in Eastern Massachusetts, Southern New Hampshire and Northern Rhode Island.  During the Summer of 2006, we expanded our local service area to include the States of Connecticut and New York.

Originally, the company was primarily interested in serving the medical profession.  However, we now provide Telephone Answering Service and messaging solutions for most almost every type of business, profession, or service company imaginable.

Our clients include but are not limited to: Physicians, Home Health Care Agencies, Durable Medical Equipment Providers, Property Management, Funeral Service, Home Heating, HVAC and Municipal Utilities.

Since 1988, the company has been owned and managed by the Children of the Founder.
